In the past 8 weeks, I have been hit with some type of Malware on the allmovie.com web site a total of 16 times. This is the only web site on which this happens. The messages vary, but the intent is clear, to get me to click on a link. The messages often strobe or flash with bright colors or have a border around them. They are allegedly from Kaspersky, AVG, Norton, Windows Defender, etc. All advise me that my computer is being "attacked," and that I should click the "repair," "restore," "scan," or some such button that they graciously supply.
When I get these messages, I immediately close the tab. Then I run a Malwarebytes and an AVG scan, the latter taking over two hours. I then continue to use the computer safely, and this never happens again until I go back to allmovie.com. I have written them, but they've never replied. Allmusic.com doesn't seem to have this problem, just the allmovie.com site. I suggest that you stop using the allmovie.com website. BQS |
