Default Backlight bleed worsening?

I'm quite convinced my 6-series Samsung 40 inch has started bleeding backlight, and that the bleeding is getting worse. I see more and more light as time passes, that is.

Is this possible?

I believe it's possible for bleeding to increase. This certainly happened to me on my 3rd (!) 6-Series. Rather than return the 3rd one, I just had the panel replaced by Samsung. That one had slight bleeding for awhile, but actually got better over the course of a few months.

That is so weird. I sent the online store pictures of the bleeding (which is hard to do with an old camera) and they wouldn't take it back. I hate arguing with online stores, because they usually never give in. So now I sent them some pics of scratches in the outer panel and I'm crossing my fingers that should do it.

I'm going to buy an 8-series from them if they take it back, so I don't see why they shouldn't.

Wish I bought a Nordic model (I live in Norway) so I could go directly to Samsung instead of to the online store.
