you bought a region B PS3 while on vacation in Europe and brought it back to the States would everything work ok? Would you be able to import all region B titles???Want to know because I have a family member going to spain soon. Anyone have any pertinent info for me?I really want to g buy one but am afraid it might not be compatible with my monitor or outlet.

SD/PAL content may not display on your tv unless it can process video at 50hz. This includes DVD movies and blu-ray extras in standard definition. Other than that you should be ok.

that s an option if you already have a blu ray player from the zone A, for my art i just bought a multizone blu ray player...

Well...I guess I could answer your questions.

1.Your XBR4, US-sold, will not accept PAL. However, you will be able to watch the HD content of your Region-B Blu-rays (50hz data is unfortunately problematic with the overwhelming majority of US TV sets, but 50hz HD material is quite rare).

2. You need to replace the European power cord of your new Region-B PS3 with a US PS3 power cord. You could buy a new one practically everywhere. This being said, the new PS3 will automatically do the voltage conversion.

Yes, you would be able to watch region-B films on your XBR4 sans the PAL-extras that come with them.
