Love this one. Ron Howard's Best flick IMO, decent Hans Zimmer Score too.

It was the 1st HD title I ever owned on HD-DVD, still have it somewhere.

I don't care, Backdraft is one of my favourite movies, Ladder 49 is not.

Really! Now what real firefighter make out with a girl, or anybody for that matter on top of a firetruck? I was through with Backdraft right then, and turned it off.. I don't know what kind of firefighters you've been used to seeing, but that shit doesn't happen in real life. If those men want to be intimate with their wife or significant other, they do it in the privacy of their home, NOT in public, and in broad daylight on top of a firetruck.

Spoiler alert, movies aren't real life. Backdraft was the better film as you know, entertainment.

My step-father was a firefire and still active at the time Backdraft came out.

the only issues he had with the depiction was when some of the firefighters where smoking cigarettes after putting out an active fire. That's a big no no!

and the warehouse fire once cleared and under control from the outside the flames would have burned themselves out thus risking no further danger to the crews working the fire itself.

If you're going to make a movie about firefighters and backdraft, make it realistic and not some bulls*** Hollywood crap, that's going to belittle their profession and defame the character of real firefighters.
