As always with Star Trek from Paramount: how much?

I spent sooo much on DS9 and TOS and Enterprise when they first appeared on DVD, that I waited for quite some time (a few years) for Next Gen and Voyager until the prices dropped to a reasonable level. I would love to have all of their ST series and movies on Blu, but price will be a major concern and will likely prevent me from getting any of them any time soon.

As we're all learning on so many franchises, including Bond, if you can afford to wait, wait. The prices will drop eventually, and if you want to pay less, you will have to wait.

Star Trek TOS hits to the core. All of the seasons in Blu...please! Has a US release date been announced?

Gonna have to be a lot cheaper than that, and in the 3 for 2 offer before I consider buying the Star Trek series again. Would like all of them but the cost will just a bit too much. Probably get the films though (watched First Contact on DVD at the weekend, spent a lot of the time thinking how much better it would look on Blu).

Not sure what the conversion rates are but believe me here in North America, Paramount as not been giving away the Star Trek sets, they are expensive and I expect this BD release to be the same.

According to Play and HMV there's a complete original series box at the end of March. Whether it'll be like America's simple bundle of all three series or if it will be a nice novelty box is unknown as neither site has pictures. I'm suspicious of the price quoted by both as £200 reduced to £160 as this is more than buying all three series separately.

You mean this? Release date of 28/03/11
Even at £50 per season it isn't that great, fingers crossed the price nosedives. I'd assume they're using cheaper packaging, so the price should reflect that.

That was quick, it wasn't listed when I checked Amazon yesterday morning. I think £100 would be more realistic for a bundle, maybe £120 for a novelty box and that's only because the individual series have been so resistant to price cuts. I saw the first series at Amazon for £35ish for a very short time but price on the other two has barely moved since release

I'm not sure. I found a six disc case here. Maybe you could the seventh in a sleeve? I think these are 25mm cases.

The Gorn one is quite amusing. Kirk runs up the mountain and MacGuyver's a bazooka to shoot the Gorn with!

For those interested in TOS Zavvi currently have Seasons 2 and Season 3 for £39.95 which seems to be a decent discount, particularly for season 3 which seems to be £60+ else where.

They also have the complete 1-10 boxset for £89.95 and the entire TOS and TNG movie collection for £69.95

Those really are some great prices especially if you have a 10% discount code.
