Were you asking about any particular titles (in which case you forgot to list them) or just in general?

I have their release of 'Sin City' and the PQ and AQ on the disc is amazing. Highly recommended!

Others can chime on some of their others, I'm sure.

cool cool... i was just wondering because i've always thought about ordering but never asked on how the PQ and AQ actually was.

yeah i was just asking in general about these Alliance titles... I might order a few now that you all are providing me with some keen information ;-). as long as the movie is really nice and sound is topnotch. I will pay no attention to special features.

I too have Sin City and also Freddy vs Jason. Both have great PQ and AQ. I do not care too much for extra features and the price for these are cheaper than $20 a piece even with shipping from Canada.

Exactly! I have a good number of them and they have top notch PQ/AQ and am very happy since they are cheap and I don't care about special features.

Anyone have the barebones BD of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back? I own it on DVD but noticed it at Best Buy yesterday.

I can honestly say that the Sin City import is one of the most beautiful Blu's I have in my collection. I'd put it up against Wall-E, Transformers, Kill Bill, etc. Dusk Til Dawn is nothing to sneeze at either.

I don't own any alliance titles, but apparently they have pretty good PQ/AQ. No extras and packaging errors in almost every release though. If you can tolerate that then alliance releases will suit you just fine. Especially since they are priced right.

Sin City and Dusk till Dawn were excellent.

Wedding Crashers seems to be a quick repacking of the US version. I suspect Alliance just tweeked the menu and added a little to the back cover art work.

The Wedding Crashers picture looks good. It also has both the Theatrical and Uncorked editions on the disk, just like the US version. This fact is not mentioned on the backcover though.

Come to think of it. Sin City and Dusk till Dawn were DTS MA but it only mentioned DTS on the packaging.

Wedding Crashers is True Dolby HD but it only runs at about 1.5 to 2.0 mbps

I have:
-Sin City: Top notch film presentation, proud owner of both this and the 2-disc 'Recut' DVD.
-From Dusk Till Dawn: Quite good for a 13-year-old film, pleased to have it in my collection alongside my 2-disc special edition.
-Nightmare on Elm Street: Awesome transfer, the movie is 25 years old and it really surprised me. Also pleased to have both this and the 2-disc Infinifilm.
-21 Grams: Watched last night. Very grainy(as I remember it was in the theatre), and the very cleanly shot scenes look great. No subs though.

A friend picked up A History of Violence for me today, so hopefully I will see that soon. The disc is exactly the same as the US one, but the cover art is far better(original theatrical poster).

I picked up the alliance versions of Kill Bill 1/2. The box claims the same extras as the Buena Vista version. Not gotten to watch them yet.

They were like 8 USD a piece at one point, so even with shipping it was less than the price of one of the BV ones.

Anyone know if the Alliance Kill Bill 1/2 are the same as the Disney/BV ones?

I'm planning to order the Canadian release of 'Se7en' as that is a movie I must have on BD sooner rather than later and there's no sign of a US release.

If I'm impressed with the PQ/AQ, I might get '21 Grams' as well.

The screens I've seen posted here look terrible - tons of DNR applied. Unless that's not the Alliance release. Has it been released by anyone else yet?

Edit - Found the post. They are from the Canadian Alliace release. And terrible might be a bit of an overstatement, but the DNR certainly makes them look less than stellar

The Alliance release of NOES looks amazing. Yes there is some DNR applied but overall the Blu-ray looks great.

Every single film has some DNR applied, getting a little tired of hearing about it really lol.

Default Question on Freddy vs Jason on Amazon.com

Is this the U.S. version? Because the Canada one was released Jan 6th and this one says it'll be released Feb 17th. So it must be the U.S one right? http://www.amazon.com/Freddy-Jason-B...4396547&sr=1-3
