Too bad Disney couldn't have put it on Disney+ along with new seasons of all the other series.

Too bad Disney is too scared of anything that can't be marketed to anybody under 18. I wouldn't want them to be on Disney+ if it means they can't be the same show as they were. Watering everything down would ruin them.

They could, but if Netflix had any stake in the shows at all, they're not going to want their competitor to have them. Depends on if Netflix co-produced it with Marvel or just "aired" them.

There's no way they'll go to abc.com, those are just short web series.

Neflix is being shitty cancelling every original that other studios have a stake in and continuing to raise prices- I hope some heads roll and they have to try to win subscribers over again for a change

I personally don’t believe that Netflix is actually the one making the decision to cancel all of these. The IP owners have just all started preparing to have their brands back for all of their own streaming service original content options. Not saying that they will be guaranteed productions on those new streaming services. However, those services will want to be able to look at a set of quality brands to be able to finance production on whatever they deem worthy of helping them grow/retain subscriptions.

This is the future of home entertainment if we don’t all start voting with drastic sacrifices. Let all of the streaming services fail! Get everyone back on the same page for the sake of consumer rights!

This shit is precisely why I never supported any streaming service from the very start. I knew that as soon as 1 became successful, 100 more would pop up and fracture access into a thousand different subscription fees.

Sorry Disney, but you aren't going to get a penny out of me for your streaming service. Same with you CBS.

Will any of them get a penny out of you? If yes, you might as well go whole hog.

Please do some research. The shows were costing Netflix tons of money, perhaps more than what they were bringing it. They looked to compromise on it by reducing the episode counts, but Disney refused that, so Netflix had no choice but to off them. It's also not a coincidence that this is all happening now. You think Disney is going to play ball with Netflix when they're planning to be a direct competitor to them?

Their subscriber growth is doing quite well by the way and they're turning out solid original programming all the time. Russian Doll, and Umbrella Academy this month alone are getting huge praise from critics and viewers.

Yeah they're gonna have to work hard to make that one happen because I'm out along with a few other friends of mine. Cancel the Marvel series and you've cancelled my subscription for me, right when I finished Punisher S2.

Yeah, how dare Disney not follow their family-friendly entertainment business model that has been one of the reasons they've become a global juggernaut after almost 100 years of being in existence.

Internet fans are angry, Disney! You'll be ruined!

And Disney is considering maybe to bring the Netflix MCU series back for another season on Hulu in 2020 and that is a big maybe so I would take this as just a rumor. So who cares about Disney+ when they own 60% of Hulu now especially Fox MCU heck Howard the Duck and other mature MCU shows are going to be made soon on Hulu than again this does not mean that the Defenders universe will return heck Disney might reboot everything from Netflix MCU.

Yeah because you totally can't widen your audience to include more mature subject matter for older audiences... because a company can only target one audience forever.

Have they really followed family-friendly entertainment for the last few years I remember when Disney was like HBO you had to pay to get on cable and mostly was their animated movies and series now it is live action shows some that lean to PC crap for young teens not saying I got issues with that but what is family friendly this days PG-13 movies with few profanities and action scenes without any blood?

Sorry but Disney has sister company Miramax for R-rated movies which means some of the Mature MCU Series and movies can still be done just not under Disney.
