Which is a special feature on the Casino Royale BD. I got it a while back too, then someone pointed it out to me.
![]() It was a Best Buy exclusive that came with, IIRC, one of the Bond DVD sets. Still a nice collector's item. |

I went to Goodwill yesterday and it was almost completely depleted of DVDs/Blu-rays. Tons of VHS though. WTH? Hope they're just shifting stock around for the holiday and a whole new batch of the DVDs/Blus from other stores will return for the new year.
Did see (but didn't buy) these though: ![]() ![]() And I think the Prom Night remake on DVD. One of the 3D Blus was a floater, and while cheap 3D is tempting to me, I had to be honest with myself that I'd never watch either of those movies. I think I got the non-3D Silent Hill sequel from a DT sale and forgot all about it until now. Last edited by DaBargainHunta; 12-21-2018 at 09:26 AM. |

I wish I had been part of this thread before. A third my collection has come from Goodwill. I picked up 19 more today. I guess the jems for this trip would be:
![]() ![]() The other day I found ![]() Prices at my local Goodwills are $2 for blurays and dvds and $1 for CDs. Half price on everything this past Christmas Eve. I grabbed around 20 movies and tv that day. |

I have seen many things at Goodwill over the years.
The worse things: Obvious bootlegs Empty cases (Don't know if they were donated that way or someone stole the discs out) LaserDiscs taken out of the sleeve and just sitting loose in between the records. Of course all scratched up. Yet they still wanted $4.99 for each. The best things: The very best is when I can get still sealed dvds/blu-rays or tv on dvd. Rare, but have seen them. OOP titles or titles I've been looking for for a very long time. Sadly though, my Goodwill recently hiked up the price of tv on dvd titles up to $6.99 for many of them. Also another good store to check out is Half Priced Books (Don't know if they'd be considered as a Thrift Store, but they do sell used dvds and sometimes sell sealed copies too. And when they put stuff on clearance they are sometimes cheaper than Goodwill. |

My Goodwill has apparently gotten out of the DVD/Blu-ray business and doubled down on VHS.

Sounds like my local Goodwill. That is why I usually never go in there. I've never seen a single Blu-ray in there. They have very little in the way of DVDs and a big wall of VHS.

Don't think I shared it in this thread, but I ordered a comic hardcover from Goodwill a while ago and when it arrived, I was surprised to discover it was autographed by Joe Quesada, cover artist and former head of Marvel. They hadn't indicated anything of the sort in the listing, not even that it was "scribbled on". XD |

Picked up these two at my local Salvation army for $3 each. Already own Planet Earth, so gave that one to a friend. The four film favorites are not exactly Matthew McConaughey's finest work, but for under a buck each they're worth a watch.
Will be going back tomorrow. 50% off everything in-store. There's a few I was on the fence about, but would pick up for $1.50. ![]() ![]() |
