![]() "Booksmart" written by Katie Silberman & directed by Olivia Wilde Quote:
Cast: Kaitlyn Dever, Beanie Feldstein, Jessica Williams, Lisa Kudrow, Will Forte, Jason Sudeikis ![]() ![]() I like them both, Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein, but judging from the trailer I'm not going to watch it - except it gets raving reviews. |

Superbad? Didn't that movie such enough?
I might be one of the few who did not laugh once at that movie and the trailer didn't have anything laugh worthy either. |

I went to the AMC A-List advanced screening tonight and thought it was fine. It's fun and I enjoyed it, but it's not great or anything. I'm hearing a lot of female Superbad remarks, and it was more like Take Me Home Tonight. It's a pretty standard high school party movie without much in the way of twists, plot, or surprise. The funniest bits can be seen in the trailer, save for a scene with Jason Sudekis which is easily the highlight of the movie.
I think advanced screenings sometimes peak my expectations. It usually means the studio is really confident in the movie and want to build word of mouth, which had me expecting a top tier teen movie. When it was over, I found it slight but still fun. |
