Sweet. With so many shows going DVD only, I feared this one might fare the same fate. Glad it didn't.

While a big step down from season 3, it still had its moments. Also, the season ended with what felt like more of a series finale, versus season finale in case they didn't get renewed. Either way, good news. Wish more shows would get Blu-ray releases.

It seems like The Walking Dead is safe when it comes to Blu-ray releases. The franchise must have a big enough following to justify Blu-ray and DVD releases, especially with the main series.

Except for ones like Walking Dead, I as a rule only buy series on bluray in complete box sets because its a gut punch when they only partially release a series on blu.

Yeah, it's truly a burn when they stop half-way. The Strain, Ray Donovan, Fargo, and Narcos the ones that really bugged me.

Has anyone had issues playing the discs from season 4? All four discs hang on the FTWD S4 loading screen and will not play anything. Firmware is up today etc on the player before anyone asks. I know some discs can take a while to the menu to load but these will not play no matter how long I wait.

I’m up to episode 7 and haven’t encountered any issues. What kind of player do you have? Try disconnecting your player from the internet and see if the discs will load afterwards.

Are you in Canada? I found this post from a guy in Canada who had the same problem you're describing

I'm in the UK but have a multi region player, have tried the firmware, disconnecting the internet, reconnecting the internet, changing the region which gives an incompatibility warning, it still just hangs on the loading screen, for a half hour now.

I saw a review on amazon.com, some lady said she had the exact same thing as me & the other guy on the link. Even their replacement copies just froze. First time I have ever had this on any disc.

Both of my locations had Blu-ray copies as of last week.

Damn I have my copy on the way from Amazon.ca might have to return it and order from the US. If it's every Canadian copy how the hell did this happen.

Don't think the issue is with Canadian copies, Mine is the USA release & will not play past the loading screen

My order arrived today and it works. Reading about the problem people are having I've had a similar problem with recent Disney titles, I had to turn off 24p output in the player settings. So try that maybe?
