Question on redeeming Google play code from Canada in USA - Blu-ray Forum

I manage to get a free movie code but it is a code for google play in Canada. Anyway to redeem it in usa and connect it to movie anywhere? I try redeem it in my usa google play account but it give me the error BM-GVHD-06
