PlayStation has announced State of Play, its own version of a Nintendo Direct or Inside Xbox announcement broadcast. The first episode will be streamed this Monday, 25th March.
You'll be able to tune in from 9pm UK time (2pm Pacific, or 5pm Eastern) for "updates and announcements from the world of PlayStation". Sony hasn't teased any specific reveals, other than a general focus on "upcoming PS4 and PS VR software". https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...ouncement-show |

I feel like this will probably be the first next gen consoles get announced at very different events than we're used to. Maybe even months apart.
Still, hopefully their first ever direct to players event isn't a flop. Might watch the livestream. |

For me, it's not so much about what they show in THIS State of Play. I'm just glad they're moving to this format. Obviously they're going to show Days Gone. I have a feeling they're going to show Concrete Genie. Probably some more info on Dreams. Probably some 3rd party stuff like Control. Some VR stuff I'm sure. I dont look for any bombshells to drop unless its official release dates for The Last of Us Pt 2, Ghost of Tsushima, and/or Death Stranding.

Dreams I think will be there for sure, it kills two birds with one stone as well since it's also a AAA vr title. Erica is probably another we will see. It's one of the PlayLink titles. |

I wonder what this will be about. I haven’t seen a conference or press show from Sony or any other gaming company cause they never reveal the their next gen consoles there all they did is talk about features that’s will be coming in a year or 2.

Guess we'll see some new gameplay videos, maybe get some release dates, and some new VR reveals. The only major reveal I'd expect is a new remaster/remake or a re-reveal of Deep Down

Maybe a new "Only on Playstation" trailer,
Clips from Spider-man, Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima, Last of Us II, Death Stranding and Dreams set to gritty background song. [Show spoiler] Erica is one of the only games I can think of that they haven't really gone in to much detail about so maybe they will show that, it's only a PlayLink title though, so just an FMV type story game. Dreams seems like the other obvious game. AAA, VR big push for community driven content. |

It's going to be strange not seeing Sony at E3. Like going to a movie sequel and your favorite character decides not to show up. Thankfully there are usually plenty of 3rd party developers showing new games at E3 each year. |

It'd be pretty amazing if they pulled the rug from under everyone and announced PS5!
