dude, you obviously have an incorrect setting in your laptop, or your TV is not HDCP compliant.

Most likely its an incorrect setting.

Either way, no need to rant.

Both of mine work quite well.
What seems to be the problem?

If you are getting an error, select TV Only - or HDMI Only.

You cannot display on both screens at the same time - one or the other.

I can display blu ray on both my computer and projector at the same time (hdmi out). It runs very nicely as well.

Some machines can - most cannot.
Some will display at a lowered res on both screens.

Even if it is possible, I can't think of a reason to do so.
YMMV.

my laptop faces an akward position to laod up a movie with whilst looking at the projection (it would be almost typing behind you're back). None the less I only have it running via the projector when watching a movie.
