For a set, it would be the one you mentioned, Halloween. I think I paid about $110 when it was still in print. The most I've paid for a single BD is, by far, Tomboy. I paid roughly $80 after it went OOP.

$100 for Sex and Lucia, it was out of print. The most I ever spent on a DVD was $80 it was the Criterion Edition of The Rock.

I also waited on Sex and Lucia until it went OOP. I don't remember what I paid for it, but it was a good amount. Far too good a film not to own though.

I will never pay more than $30 for a single film. Sets are a different beast altogether, as the amount of movies or TV seasons in each set varies.

Almost everything that is released in my country becomes rare with time, so we have to buy at the release, paying full price. Only 1K copies fot the whole country.

All UHDs here are imported, so I wait to get better deals.

Just recently, I was willing to spend 80 dollars on one of The Hitcher mediabooks, but then it slapped me with a 20 dollar shipping fee and I changed my mind.

$800 for the Legend of the Galactic Heroes Premium Box Set because it’s the only English subbed release of it ever, and limited to 1000 copies only. 110 episode OVA series, 52 episode prequel, and 3 movies are in the set.

I’ll be surprised if anyone can top $800 as their most expensive...

Don't know the exact exchange rate, but my wife paid $140 for the Criterion Zatoichi set, to get it to old Blighty. For 25 movies I considered it a good price at the time, it was a birthday gift as well.

For a single disc, about $50 for the German mediabook of Deep Throat.

For a set, about $85 for Arrow's Herschell Gordon Lewis Feast box set.

Lord of the Rings Extended Editions and Star Wars Complete Saga, can't remember exact pricings but they were both around $130 (New Zealand pricings).

Most I've paid for a single movie was $50 for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, then the got RRP halved within a few weeks
