Default Transformers The Ultimate 5-Movie now 6 Collection 4k

Transformers: The Ultimate Five Movie Collection 4K Blu-ray

Bumblebee & Transformers Ultimate 6-Movie Collection 4K Blu-ray Steelbook

Does the new set https://www.amazon.com/Transformers-...=ATVPDKIKX0DER only have the 4K and Digital with no Blu Rays? Haven't found a description that implies either way. I know it is Paramount so it is the Vudu or Itunes redeem although I got the latest Mission Impossible to redeem in both.

It has 5 UHDs and 5 BDs with bonus material. No movies on BD.

Tempting deal but I only need the first one. Keeping my BDs for 2-4 because of IMAX and/or 3D, and I've already got Last Knight 4K.

Price made it seem too good to be true to be both. Don't have 4K player yet but have been buying 4K the past year because they come with Blu Ray and digital copy (handy for vacation home). Have all 5 but not all in Blu Ray.

Would the UK set be an option for you? Contains the UHDs and BDs, but only the bonus disc for Last Knight.

I might consider that. Got the UK 3 disk regular Blu of Beverly Hills Cop Trilogy a few months ago.

Haven't seen many sets yet that have dropped the Blu Ray. Have seen some that seem to have removed the Digital copies after an initial run.

Video and Audio on these gets high marks. I've never been all that impressed by the 3D versions so happy to go 4K instead.

Hmm... I always thought the 3D in Dark Of The Moon was excellent (it also happens to be "the best" TF movie IMO). I've used the Shockwave attack scene many times as showcase material. Extinction and Last Knight had some rather good 3D as well from what I remember.

Anyway you can't go wrong with the UHD versions either as the picture quality is great.

Films 3, 4 , and 5 being shot (or partially shot) with 3D cameras is holding me back... not sure about set vs. first two only.

Are they in an order that makes no sense? The Jack Ryan set was the same way.

Are there any special features left out? They said they’re all there but one can’t be too sure.

I'm ready for it.

Starting today I'm going to watch all of the TF movies on UHD again, with the last three sequels in 3D as well. Not a big fan of the actual movies themselves (I like the third one best, second is really, really awful) but it's the blockbuster action scenes and the UHD PQ (and the 3D immersion for 3-5) that make them worthwhile.

Even on my modest, non Atmos audio setup it sounds really great.

Having seen them all back to back now (one movie a day), Age Of Extinction has become my favorite very closely followed by Dark Of The Moon. One of my biggest complaints with this franchise (besides too many liberties taken with the source material regarding the robot characters) has always been the loud and obnoxious humor, and that has been very well restrained for AoE (and to a certain degree for Moon also). Matter of fact, I think the humor in AoE is actually funny most of the time.

I'll never like the first two movies. LaBeouff and his family really get on my nerves and Revenge Of The Fallen is just too stupid, even for a Bay TF movie. Last Knight is a bit of a mess and drags at times, but the climax kind of makes up for that. It's also a step back compared to 3 and 4 when it comes to the humor, but it's not as bad for me as the first two.
