After having confirmed through someone that I know that already has this set that it will play on region A, U.S. sold Blu-ray players, I went ahead and ordered from the U.K. My order just arrived about 30 minutes ago. That was really fast as I just ordered it on Sunday Morning. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

I now have all seven seasons on Blu-ray. I just hope, that with next season (#8) being the last season, that it will also be available on Blu in the U.K. if not in the U.S. I would hate to have to settle for a DVD for just the last season.

Update: I had a chance to test this on a couple of my Blu-ray machines and it plays just fine so if you are wanting this on Blu-ray in the U.S., the UK release is an option.

Since they usually release on blu-ray in the US around the next season premiere date, isn't possible that it's still coming out here, just not until the Fall when season 8 premieres?

Man I hope so. I also have seasons 1-6 on Blu-ray.

Showtime has Season 8 premiering in June 2019.

LOL at the Adam Schiff character in season 7. They try so hard to predict real world politics in this show, often failing terribly. But they really nailed it with that one.

They should have never cancelled Braindead.

Quinn was my favorite character. didn't say much but was literally too cool for everyone else. I hated to see him finish like that! I saw 'Carrie' on Ellen show saying she wanted a better ending, playing monopoly with her daughter. Lol!

Guess the sales on the last couple seasons were really bad for them to go the DVD-only route for season 7 and (likely) season 8 when that comes out next year. Disappointing, especially this late in the show's run and knowing there's only one season left, but given Fox's track record, not horribly surprising. I hope that Fox/Disney at least put season 6 and 7 on Hulu, if anything else, since only 1-5 are on there currently.

I ordered on August 7 from "Amazon Global Store UK" via amazon.com. It was shipped via i-parcel, then delivered by UPS Ground.

Very Happy to be able to watch this now!

No slip? Bummer.

I got a complete slipcover set for all of them - just praying season 8 comes with a slipcover too otherwise it will look stupid!

Yeah, I have the US 1-6 w/slips (also S1 with Target Exclusive Bonus Disc, and S2 with Best Buy Exclusive Art Cards).


Like I said, I'm just happy to own the BD of the show, and I'll likely be going back to the UK for S8 on BD. I'm less concerned with any slip for these.

The back of the case does indeed say <B> as the Region, but I did my homework before purchasing. Oh, and I also played through a few scenes perfectly (on my US Sony UHD player):
