Default Favorite 7.1 Audio Track

What movie would you say has the best multi-channel HD audio track?
And what is the channel config 7.1 or 5.1 ?
Why?

To answer the OP question..

I would say The Descent...great positional placement in the sides and rears..very spooky.

now, to answer your question in the first thread...that would have to go to Baraka...that was a great DTS-HD MA 5.1 track...it was flawless, IMO...

BARAKA just floors me every time I see/hear it, which was last night (again)!

in the next 2-3 weeks I'll be receiving my new receiver (hehe) and was just curious as to the general concensus for favorite surround tracks.

I was looking for a really good 7.1 track and than any alternate 5.1 tracks.

I listened to U-571 yesterday (just through optical) and wow what a nice track. I remember the SD being good so I am looking forward to the actual lossless track through the new system and additional 2 speakers.

A couple more good ones...

Shoot Em Up...

3:10 to Yuma...

As you can see, for 7.1, just look for Lionsgate...they have nice mixes...

Also try Pan's Labyrinth

You've gotta watch Live free or die hard, and Ratatouille. The shotgun blasts at the first of Rat will devastate your house lol. And die hard is just insane all over the place loud and in your face.

Edit: dont think either is 7.1 though... : /

Nightmare Before Christmas was the first thing I put on when I got my 6th and 7th speaker. Holy WOW. It changed everything.

A great 5.1 mix for me, and a pleasant surprise, was BOLT. The first 10 minutes are house rattling.

I have to say 3:10 to Yuma also. It was very immersive for me.

Go to that web site... use the drop down box to set the audio filter to 7.1... then hit the filter button to see all of the movies currently available in 7.1. Or you can select your favorite audio type... like DTS-MA... etc etc.

I only have 5.1 setup but I can say the 3:10 to Yuma is one of the best I have heard and imagining that it runs on a 7.1 it probably sounds incredible. Very good movies and great audio sound.
