Missing Link 4K UHD (2019) available for pre-order on Amazon Canada. Seems like an Universal release in Canada. Will it be the same in the States, or maybe Lionsgate?

United Artists Releasing (the newly rebranded MGM-Annapurna joint venture) is distributing this film in the US so I expect either Fox or Universal to release it on video here in the US. Lionsgate will be releasing it in the UK though.

Really want to go see this with my son but for whatever reason he refuses to go. I think the creature freaks him out. In any case I'll pick this up day one. Hopefully the other Laika releases come as well, especially ParaNorman. Love the score in that one.

if Universal releases this - there might, let me repeat that: 'there might' be a chance the UHD could have Dolby Vision

got my tix to see this in Dolby Cinema for next Tuesday (!!)

not only Coraline, but 'Kubo and the Two Strings' in Dolby Cinema was just beautiful, in not only the fantastic spectrum of colors but a truly evocative Dolby Atmos sound mix that should have been at least on the bluray edition, but wasn't

It'd be fitting if Universal releases it, since they retain the first four Laika films (Laika 5-Movie Collection, anyone?). I still don't know how Fox's distribution deals are going to pan out now that the Disney acquisition is complete; I guess Universal handling MGM's newer releases is a sign towards that answer but Annapurna's distribution methods I'll admit I'm not as familiar with.

Dreamworks animation bailed out quickly before the merger and trotted over to Universal

If the 4K doesn't get canceled this makes the first Laika film on 4K.

Vudu is listing Fox as the home release distributor. Also on Movies Anywhere so it’s probably right.

I always pictured this to be a Focus Features film and discovered today while watching it it's from Annapurna Pictures. They release under Fox but they don't do 4K's.

I don't think a 4K of this coming to the states, unfortunately.

I'm going to try to see this today in Dolby Cinema since I also have a feeling we might not end up getting the UHD. It's really a shame, but something about their movies just doesn't seem to click with a lot of people. Like I mentioned earlier, I thought for sure my son would be excited to see it but he refused to watch it after seeing the trailer.

I'd be hesitant to draw that (or any other) conclusion from this situation.

Besides, what about Selick's own The Nightmare Before Christmas? That movie has legs, if anything does.
