Can't wait to get this one. One of the most charming (and funniest) films of the year, an excellent update of the Chilean original and one hell of a showcase for Julianne Moore.

A theater 45 minutes away from me only had this for a week. I unfortunately had to miss it (oh the joys of living in rural Wisconsin). I'll definitely check this out. Love the filmmaker's work.

Saw this on Thursday with a Q&A by Julianne Moore following the screening. Just a wonderful film. I put it above the original on two fronts, the first being Moore gave a better portrayal of Gloria's loneliness, and the second that the original's first act seemed too rushed, especially when compared with the recent version.

Yeah, I finally took at a look at the disc last night and it does indeed look/sound fantastic. Been having issues accessing the digital copy tho.

I wasn't able to play this disk on my PS3 yesterday, has anyone had a problem with the disk? I picked mine up in Canada and dont know if it's my PS3 or the disk its self.

Did you try disabling the internet connection? There are several discs that fail on PS3 with the internet connection enabled.

I think in Canada, the disc is a BD-r, I'm going to return it for the uk or the us version. The disc was also scratched when I received it at home. I think Bd-r are less resistant.
