The snowglobe alone will probably fetch $50-$60 on ebay so it's a safe enough buy, unless they mass-produce more snowglobes later.

This is not a blind buy for me. I was hooked on Space 1999 when I was a kid. I’m thrilled about this.

Also, I’m not usually a swag person, but the snow globe is cool. I hope that it’s durable.

If you have a Region B capable player then it's an option. If not, then it's a much different argument.

The extras will probably be different so I don’t think this set will be the same as the UK release.

I have both of the UK Blu-ray sets, and even though this also contains 13 discs... judging by the larger artwork they shared on Facebook, it's 6 discs per season + 1 bonus disc with the extra features.

The UK Blu-ray sets are 5 Blu-rays (with 2 DVD's of Bonus Features) for Season 1 and 6 Blu-rays for Season 2.

The UK set of Season 1 also doesn't have lossless audio (just standard DTS), so it will be interesting if the Shout release does.

I might just have to order this before it sells out. I can always sell off my UK sets later on if absolutely everything is included. I'm a pretty big Space: 1999 fan, even being a member of Fanderson. Decisions...decisions.
