But let's not bury the lead here, a KOTOR movie happening would be the greatest thing. They could literally just do a direct adaptation of the first game and I'd probably eat it up.

I would love for a Knights Of The Old Republic film...unless this is the trilogy that Rian Johnson is writing and directing.

Technically, The Last Jedi did dip its toes into KOTOR territory (mainly the second game) with how it views + deconstructs the force, though Johnson's was more about pointing out its flaws and trying to overcome them while Chris Avellone tore it a new butthole.

I'd honestly be okay with Rian directing, I just want a different writer(s). Honestly I'd love for them to just hire Drew Karpyshyn to do the screenplay since he wrote the original games. Or at least co-write with an experienced screenplay writer.

So I believe some recent rumors suggest Rian & GOT's trilogies will be closely related, implying both may be the same era; or both trilogies have been combined/always been one.

The GoT duo is developing something set just a few hundred years before The Skywalker Saga. So it was never about KOTOR.
