Critters Attack! coming from Warner

In Critters Attack!, Dee Wallace, who starred in the original Critters as Helen Brown, will sink her teeth into the franchise for a second time in the mysterious role of Aunt Dee.

Critters Attack! follows 20-year-old Drea (Tashiana Washington), who reluctantly takes a job babysitting for a professor of a college she hopes to attend. Struggling to entertain the professor’s children Trissy (Ava Preston) and Jake (Jack Fulton), along with her own little brother Phillip (Jaeden Noel), Drea takes them on a hike, unaware that mysterious alien critters have crash-landed and started devouring every living thing they encounter.

Taking inspiration from Gremlins, Critters Attack! looks to introduce a Gizmo-like benevolent Krite, who will presumably help the humans defeat the others.

I am curious to know what kind of film this will end up being. Will it be closer to the original film or will it be closer to Critters: A New Binge? (Which is closer to Ghoulies III for anyone that hasn't checked it out yet).

To me A New Bing looks closer to Killer Tomatoes Strike Back and Eat France. Even the Critters puppets look goofy as the tomatoes in those films to me.

This looks like great fun. Day one for me. Even though it wouldn't make a ton of sense, a part of me is hoping that Aunt Dee turns out to somehow be Helen Brown from the first movie. Lol.

I'm half way through the series and like it more and more with each episode but I can't stress enough that this series is nothing like the films. Very low budget and very corney (The Critters have a "president" for example) It is very much the Ghoulies 3 of the franchise. If you go into it with those kinds of expectations you may be entertained. If you go in expecting something closer to the films you will be extremely disappointed.

The new binge is only an hour broken up into 8-10 minute segments.
