Eureka has announced that The Golem: How He Came into the World will be joining their Masters of Cinema Series later this year. It has recently been given a new 4K scan and restoration. No word on extras or artwork just yet.

What more reasonably exists of the Weimar films that has survived in good enough condition to warrant blu ray releases now ?

The 1915 version looks more exciting than the 1920 version - what a shame it doesn't exist in full!

When I asked the KL Insider, they said they would be releasing "The Love of Jeanne Ney" though it wouldn't probably be until 2020. I would assume that Eureka would probably release it too.

Absolutely brilliant news!! This and Dr. Caligari are my favourite silent films. I noticed Amazon Germany are releasing it on the 28th of June:

I hope the Aljoscha Zimmerman score is retained for the Eureka release.

Not that I wish to deprive anyone of their silent film fix, but surely it would make better marketing sense for Eureka to delay the release until early next year, 2020, which will be the work's centenary....

Pandora's Box (1929). It's been digitally restored by Munich Film Museum in 2009 and BFI screened it last year.

Universum Film will release this in Germany on 7/20 with German intertitles only. However, the disc will include the US version (86min) as an extra.

That's why I asked the KL Insider if it was on their radar. They told me that it was probably a 2020-21 release. I'll hold out for that one unless Eureka releases it beforehand.

Never seen this, but very curious to watch it, I like Gothic silent movies like Nosferatu and Faust, would this appeal to me?
