De Niro will play Max Barber, a man in debt to a mob boss (played by Freeman), who creates an insurance fraud by casting washed-up, suicidal cowboy/movie star Duke Montana (Jones) in a poorly written Western with the intention of killing him during the first days of filming. Duke somehow rises to the occasion, redeems his past misdeeds and brings Max and others along on the same journey.

Josh Posner co-wrote the screenplay, which is based on the 1970s film of the same name, written, directed and produced by the late Harry Hurwitz. Lensing is due to begin in June in New Mexico.

Very good cast and the premise sounds pretty good too might give this a look will wait for a trailer before though.

Just saw the review posted. Where did the reviewer see the film? There's no release date for this movie and I've bee waiting a long while to see it.

I had never heard of this. But with that cast and not being released in the United States, it must not be very good at all and that’s a shame

I can't believe it's not an old folks movie filled with "being old" jokes starring De Niro and the gang. What a relief for a change.

This was an entertaining trailer with a sort of interesting plot. I'd watch it.

its out on blu ray and it did come out in the cinemas in some parts of the world .....

Not a physical release, but it's currently $5 on iTunes for 4K. Not MA, so won't port anywhere else.
