Would have been cool if they did individual steels like the Harry Potter series and the upcoming Batman quadrilogy. Maybe 4K for these won’t be too far behind and we can get a set like the ones mentioned or like the JP double steel 4K set.

Paramount will still own the first 4 movies, unlike the Star Wars sequels and prequels Lucasfilm doesn’t own the 4 Indy movies, paramount does.lucasfilm and Disney only own any future movies in the series.

I was looking at the Indy steelbook in a Walmart tonight. It had a sticker noting a Vudu code for digital copy. I think it said 'on receipt', and I didn't have the presence of mind to take a picture (also, it was very close to closing, I went there after the movie theater).

drives me insane.
Everything shuts down before 10pm in Maine. except Walmarts (open to 12), a handful of restaurants (still done at 1am at best) and most gas stations with convenience stores. there's a "24 hour" diner in Brunswick that only does 24 hrs in the summer, otherwise it's like 8a-9p. I can't even go to a movie that starts after 10pm. I know how Instawatch works, and the sticker didn't say Instawatch. |

Your forgot Denny's in Portland that's 24 hours. Good place when you need to find food to sober up with a Denny's full breakfast at 2 am lol Used to drive up there a lot. |

A Walmart near my work is like stepping into 1993. It's not a supercenter. It closes at 10pm. There's a magazine rack and Subway on the right immediately when you walk in. The paltry grocery section is smack dab in the middle of the store. Their electronics/media department is just after that and leaves much to be desired. Every time I walk in there, my inner 8 year old me wants to hunt down the VHS's so I can grab a copy of Batman Returns and run to my mom to ask her for it when I know she's gonna say no like she did EVERY time.
Ah, memories... |

Now most Blu-ray releases come in eco cases with the generic blue disc with the title printed on it, and a lazy menu navigation that looks like it came from a free trial version of a DVD burner program. I’m seeing the same laziness in some steelbooks now. No inside art, stacked discs, no disc artwork, some don’t even have titles on the spine or front. Granted that’s a personal pet peeve of mine but still. If I’m going to pay a premium for a format that I know is sadly dying, at least put some effort into it. |
