He made a dramatic comedy with his first commercial pic Wide Awake and a horror comedy with The Visit, so he can make a sci-fi comedy if he wants to. It's just something I wouldn't be much interested in.

I've actually been enjoying how Shyamalan's been more playful lately since The Visit, so I'm up for him having fun.

Ah yeah, forgot about The Visit. It's a comedy, at least moreso than his other movies.

That said, I think we're all reading too much into him saying the word "fun." I think he finds the process in general to be fun, even if the end results aren't necessarily "funny."

I actually like The Visit but then again I'm a sucker for found footage. Those couple of moments when there was a little bit of humor didn't bother me. I thought there were some genuinely creepy scenes in it too. Child actors were also great.

But yeah, I would love something like Signs again!

I think it was the best movie of that particular year. Matter of fact:

1. Signs
2. The Sixth Sense
3. The Visit
4. The Village

5. Split
