Yeah. It's crazy isn't it?

But, the enthusiasm toward titles is infectious. A title you'd not think about suddenly becomes a must have because of all the buzz.

For example, we've already been warned to expect something special in PQ from The Company mini-series. Argh! Another must have.

In all seriousness, be careful. Especially if your charging BD movies. It's extremely addictive for some reason.

What I find helps is Blockbuster Online (or Netflix). It eases your craving for the new releases. I was averaging a couple per week and have gone almost cold turkey. I'm done till some huge releases like Spiderman.

Unless money is not an object to you, heed my words.

You want to hear about addicted? I have over 80 Blu-ray and I'm moving across the country in 2 months. Moving is a costly venture... especially over 4700KMs. Plus, on top of that, I will be buying a new $3200 Sony Bravia LCD TV (with the new XMV colour enhancement chip... 16,000:1 contrast ratio) and probably the same amount of $$$ on a 7.1 surround setup that can handle 1080p HDMI throughput for video to go with it. I'm addicted WAY BEYOND JUST THE DISCS THEMSELVES!!!

They're definitely addictive. It feels like something's missing if I go a week without buying any. Everyone thinks I'm insane. I think it has a lot to do with getting in on the ground floor, so to speak.

Cool

I have purchased at least one title every week since I bought my player at the end of May, and I don't see myself stopping. I currently have 32 titles, and I've ordered Vacancy and FF:Spirits Within this week. Last week was Disturbia. To round out my month next week will be Van Wilder, and the week after Blades of Glory. And don't get me started on the fall titles

I found myself yesterday driving to the video store to see if I could get one of the latest BD releases when I was suppose to be driving to pick up food to bring home. I forgot everything closed early on Sunday.. I had to explain to my wife why I took so long to get home.. heh heh

My family gave me a dozen BD films for my birthday, so now I have a collection growing... and the hole in my pocket for BD is burning hotter....
Good thing my wife likes BD too, just wish we had more money to spend on them

I bought my computer 22" moniter from gateway which handles hd over a year ago. earlier this year i bought the ps3. this was all fine for a few months but then i just had to have a bigger screen, hd of course. i had to settle with a 37". don't get me wrong it's a great tv, but another $500 for a bigger one is another $500 i can't spend. to top it off when i watched my first BD i was hooked. i only have 8 of them but could easily buy a lot more. in the end...isn't it all really just about saying you have it? do we really need all of this stuff?

most definitely addictive. My entertainment spending had gone way down waiting for HD disks, but now it is much higher then it ever was. So far this year the smallest week was two movies and the largest 9 (twice)

I am at over 100
