It will probably have horrendous artwork but I'm very glad that Warner is releasing this movie in 4K!!

They ‘just’ released the blue ray steelbook last October . Depending on the art I might double dip. What’s next in 4K? The original IT ?

First: Heck yeah! The Shining is long overdue for a new release/remaster!

Second: Heck yeah! I want to see the artwork first but it's one of my favorite films so it won't take much to impress me.

Day one purchase for sure. One of my Top Ten all time favorites. Still remember seeing this for the first time as a 14 yr old. Was with a group of friends and everyone fell asleep within 15 minutes but me. I was so unsettled by the end that it took 20 mins to get up and press stop on the VHS when the film ended.

Glad I passed on the recent BD steel. Hope the artwork befits this classic film.

Some newly commissioned artwork featuring a wide angle shot of the ominous Overlook would be ideal for me...but I know that won’t happen.

Is that official? Also, I know next to nothing about rights and studios and who can release whichever titles, but is there a chance this ever gets a Criterion release?

Please no.

Maybe as the interior. Even that I would prefer a simple carpet pattern.
Unless they bring out the bells/whistles, it will be recycled door art or axe art.
