Default What about some better titles?

Still wondering when some great movies like Gladiator, Braveheart, Rob Roy, The Crow, the X-Men Series (Parts 1/2), 13th Warrior, Willow, The Count of Monte Cristo, Pride & Prejudice, etc. might be coming out. They keep releasing some rather mediocre films on Blu-ray, while the studios could be making profits from past "cash cows" that everyone absolutely loved. While I have a bias toward Sci-Fi, Fantasy and other period films, I definitely think there's a market for getting some of these films released. Anyone have some thoughts?

Really? Well, that's some good news then. I know that another X-Men movie is coming out specifically to address Wolverines' background, so I was thinking maybe they would wait till that was out to do the box set. If they release earlier than I'm a happy man! Thanks!

Not sure when 'Willow' was classified as a "Better Title", but whatever...

I used to complain about the same thing, but there's a great variety available now as opposed to even a year ago, so I shan't complain anymore *cough*(fear and loathing)*cough*(Big Lebowski), *ahem*...

I know, I know...Willow was never what one would call a hit, but I thought it had a "plucky spirit," and I like fantasy.

I'm still waiting for Green Street Hooligans, Jurassic Park movies, Tigerland, The Chumscrubber and all things Twin Peaks (tv series and Fire Walk With Me).

I hadn't thought about it until the OP's original post, but I think The Crow on blu would be worth a watch.

WHAT?! 13th Warrior was prolly da bes movee eva!!!

I joke, I joke ........... but I do love me some 13th Warrior

I really don't understand the criteria for releasing certain movies on Blu; some titles are classics such as "One Flew Over the Cukoos Nest" but then they release "So I Married an Axe Murderer" (which I like but I'm not sure its a big hit). So guessing which movies are coming out when is a difficult task and I've giben up hoping and just planned to be happily suprised if and when 13th Warrior comes out and isn't so dark that you can't see half the battles

I have The Crow on Blu. It is a region free import. It looks pretty good in 1080i and sounds great too (just DTS sound I believe). Still, a US release with full 1080P and DTS MA would be nice.

I agree in general that we still need more good catalog titles released. The studios need to ramp up production and put them out quicker at a reasonable price.

Aside from the major franchises (Star Trek, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Lord of the Rings, Alien, Indiana Jones), some of what I'm still waiting for:

The Mask of Zorro
Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
Air Force One
Saving Private Ryan
Back To The Future
Galaxy Quest
Tron
Blue Thunder

I am hoping for a Memorial Day release for this movie...Some WWII flicks would be cool around the same time.

You can order Air Force One from Amazon UK for 18 lbs. Back to the future trilogy will be released this year.
