onkyo 805 problem

after i adjust the db levels for my speakers for a particular listening mode and i turn the receiver off and back on the db levels reset back to zero. Can someone tell me why or how to fix this thanks

I have the 804 and it does the same thing. Mine stays fixed if you enter into the menu on the tv and changed it in set up mode. It resets if you use the remote speaker select button and adjust it with the arrow button. Trying going into the main menu where it actually shows up on your tv.

I do not have the 805, but am looking at getting it. Please forgive me if you have already tried this but it should work. I am assuming that you used the automatic speaker setup function. If that is the case you will have to change the speaker settings from "automatic" to "manual". Instead of giving you step by step instructions you can find them by referring to page 91 of the instruction manual or download it here:
