I'm in the market for a Blu-ray burner since I've started editing in HD. Does anyone have any suggestions? I found the "LG GGW-H20L Super Multi Blue - Blu-ray Disc Burner / HD DVD-ROM Drive w/ Lightscribe - 6x2x6x/3x - Serial ATA - internal - 5.25" on Amazon.com for a decent price.
Not sure if anyone has any reviews or recommendations. I don't really want to spend over $300 but if it's worth it, I just might... -Foochuck |

Okay you guys. I know someone that just bought the Buffalo drive(8x burner) at Circuit City for $100.00. It's a wonderful drive and I've witnessed the burn speeds. Just a sick drive. That LG drive and model number you listed was at Fry's Electronics a weekend or two ago. Here's the url:
http://www.frys-electronics-ads.com/...er-Lightscribe Now, I don't know how much you are of a deal person. Meaning, I am on deals like a hawk. As I can see, you're trying to get this type of drive the cheapest you can. To me, the consumer must have a mind like a hawk like I do. My way of shopping is: 1. Look at the Sunday paper every Sunday for a specific retailer. I'm not a Best Buy advocate at all unless it is Black Friday or Cyber Day via the internet, both after Thanksgiving. 2. Go to Newegg.com, tigerdirect.com, pricewatch.com, microcenter.com, pricegrabber.com, and Fry's Electronics every day or even every other day for deals. You can do it. I do this all the time because I'm looking for the best product at the best price. Note: I don't know about any other part of the country, however, for instance, Fry's Electronics sales ads comes out Monday, Wednesday, the big one on Friday, and Saturday and Sunday here in Southern California. Lastly, I would just have to reiterate that you have to be like a hawk when looking for any type of computer item. Whether it be name brand or a second-hand brand item. Good luck man and I hope you get a deal like the one I just showed you. And be patient. Don't you just dislike when you have bought a computer item and the very next weekend or sales ad it goes down $50.00 or even $100.00? That really rattles my nerves. Peace..... |
