Nice to see these $14-$16 with digital copies, have been waiting for a cheap steelbook for The Exorcist. The price point might make me pick more up as well.

Fair warning: It looks like the “Friday the 13th” SteelBook is actually for the 2009 movie, not the 1980 original, even though the Best Buy link has the year 1980 listed. The SteelBook cover has the “Killer Cut” subtitle that’s been associated with the 2009 flick since it first came out on video, and the Blu-ray disc in the picture is identical to the 2009 release as well.

Makes sense since the original Friday the 13th movie series was made by Paramount Pictures.

However the Mondo X SteelBook, also from Warner Bros. is the original 1980 film.

Because the releases are very inexpensive and people continue to buy them.
Now they have added a digital code for all of the people who didn't buy them before.

Like all the people that say "No digital code no buy", "no 4K no buy", "no 3D no buy"

There are many reasons why some people pass up SteelBook releases. No glossing, no bossing, don't like the art, don't like the spine, don't like the inside art and on and on and on. So they keep tweaking them and more get sold.

They must make money off of them or they wouldn't make them.

Yep, and I believe Paramount still has the video rights to the first 8 movies, so this must be the 2009 remake.

So now there are these along with Endgame and a good chance for Iron Man and Thor Steelbooks? What a month.

Not to mention Far From Home hits theaters July 2nd so that SteelBook will be up for pre order at least.

I swear SteelBooks are taking over the world.

Damn, this will be my third Goonies steel. I contend one cannot have enough Goonies steelbooks in his/her collection!
