Default Raiders of the Lost Ark vs. Back to the Future

Which iconic 80s adventure film do you prefer; Steven Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark or Robert Zemekis’ Back to the Future?

They're not even comparable, both are easily 10/10 movies, Raiders has a slight edge I guess.

Both brilliant, but I'd have to say Raiders, just.

Raiders

Easy pick. I do like Back to the Future a lot, but Raiders is in my Top 50 all-time. Back to the Future somewhere in my Top 250 (which is still pretty high ranked when one has watched about 6,000 movies.

Raiders of the Lost Ark, since it's my all-time favorite movie, but Back to the Future is also Top 5 for me as well. Both were staples of my childhood.

Raiders, just barely.

I'm not overly fond of either of them.

Easily Back to the Future.

And if you're gonna compare an '80s Zemeckis movie to BttF, Romancing the Stone makes a lot more sense.

Back to the Future. Now, if it was up against The Temple of Doom, it would have been a different story.

Raiders I love absolute 10/10 it's on a different level. One of the best action adventure movies ever made, it has witty dialogue what doesn't this movie have.

Back to the Future while good it's not great.

For me, it's easily Raiders. It's actually on my top ten all time. But to be fair, they are very different types of movies. Back to the future is near perfect, imho. Never get tired of watching it. 5/5. I'm also glad they never made any sequels to it.

This would be like comparing Die Hard to The Karate Kid.

Still voted for Raiders.
