Hong Kong The Story Of Woo Viet (1981)

https://www.dddhouse.com/v3/product_...0&LanguageID=0

According to DDDHouse,The Story of Woo Viet will include 2.0 audio.

Has CN Entertainment listened to the market to release 2.0 audio tracks for their blu-ray release? Hopefully this is original and not a downmix

Hopefully this will be beginning of a new trend of HK blu-rays releasing original audio tracks with real HD mastered video blu-rays and not upscalesl.

more likely is: there never was a Remix before, and not a positive new trend

There's a BD as well, John_Drake:

If nobody knows about quality, could always inquire to one of the people that own it!

I tried to match the first three screenshots to the ones available on the DVDFR review of the French disc (though those are not 1920x1080).

I heard the HK blu-ray was incomplete, several scenes were cut.

i would say you are right!

French Bluray at 25fps Speed runs: 89:34 Mins, about 93 Mins in 23.976fps!

HK Bluray at 23.976: 85:32 Mins.

I did notice something odd while taking above screenshots. When trying to match the exact frame of #2, the mouth of Chow Yun-Fat would never quite close as much as it does on the corresponding screenshot on DVDFR. I chalked it up to a slight cut of no major importance, but good to know there's actually around 8 minutes missing.

**** me! I'm glad I didn't waste my cash. The French disc needs a custom job. It's times like this I really miss ADC.

as i don't really see ANY alternative coming, i will maybe customize this. basically easy:

use HK Bluray Subs, retime them to French Bluray, fill the gaps via Copy & Paste from French Subtitles in the Cut Footage, type up English Subs (replacing the French subs in the cut Scene Gaps) from HK Laserdisc - voila!

Easy, maybe. Painfully annoying, definitely.
It would be easier to take subs from a DVD copy, provided there are any uncut ones.

Also, I just noticed Buyoyo lists this as having a 92mns runtime when even the back cover correctly states 85mns. Oh well, hindsight's 20/20.

I just finished with the english subtitles for the French release. I use the HK Blu ray subs and an uncut DVD cut that I found on the net and mixed both together.
