Ok, after a lot of hard work, I’d like to present the latest Sony Protection Group project, PS3Tag.com (not to be confused with PS3Tags.com). PS3Tag.com is the first “high-quality” PS3 gamercard generator service and the first service to cater to multiple countries.

Funny you mention this because I saw this on AVS

During a playable demo of Unreal Tournament III at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival, we spotted something very interesting on the game’s menu system. It’s called Gamercard and it doesn’t seem too unlikely a possibility that this will turn out to be a unique player identity system, not entirely dissimilar to the Xbox 360’s Gamertag system that manages player stats and achievements.

We quizzed Epic’s Mark Rein about and he did little to dispel our assumptions saying quickly “Oops, you shouldn’t have seen that”. We would have liked to grabbed a pic, and were little deterred by the venue’s strict no camera phone policy and dodgy lighting, however Mark Rein’s rapid covering of the projector with his hand put pay to that cunning idea.

Needless to say, we have little to go on. It is accessed with the Triangle button if that makes any difference to you. It is also anyone’s guess whether this is a future Sony project that will cover the whole of the PlayStation Network or whether it is simply a feature of UT3. But I’m betting that the secrecy surrounding it indicates a new PS3 feature.

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

Should be sufficient!

Edit: Actually, that's not going to work because you can only upload pics, not link an image URL.

Well, that sucks... in the future, when the tag reflects continuously changing info about the users playing habits, it won't remain current. An upload will be necessary every time there is a change?!?!?! Can the site MODs change that to allow for linking?

After all, there are only 2 sites that I visit where I can be exposed to fellow PS3 users. This one (where there are TONS of "my kind of people") and a site where the majority of forum posters seem to be X-bots when it comes to gaming systems. This site is optimized for this type of community tool.

To cluttered. If you do put an image in your sig, then keep it like Shin-ra's. His look great!
