As long as Garland and/or Boyle are involved, I'm game.

However, the best part of the article is this:

Hopefully Garland's next directing gig will be officially announced soon.

Wasn't 28 Months Later supposed to be a thing like 10 years ago? I feel like this ship has sailed.

For the record everytime Danny Boyle releases a film he's asked about a third 28 Days Later film and he's always had an exciting idea that people get pumped about and at one point in time he was interested in returning as director but until the studio makes a formal announcement I wouldn't get to excited just yet.

I have a feeling 28 Months Later may be skipped in favor of 28 Years Later

I actually prefer the second one over the first, to be honest.

Me too. The first film goes down the drain in the last act when they encounter the soldiers.

I was super hyped when I read about Garland potentially returning to write and Boyle directing. Thank you all for keeping me rooted in reality. Still, one can dream...

I would like to see Months, not years.

I think 2+ years is more than enough for that to have spread around Mainland Europe even Asia/Africa since we saw the Tower at end of Weeks.

Count me in as someone that enjoyed the 2007 sequel more than the first one (2002). I saw 28 Weeks Later at my $1 theater and it was one of the better horror movies that year.

Never seen 28 Weeks Later. I did enjoy the first movie so I might have to check it out now.
