I would like to order this separate from the Kickstarter. It's a cool endeavor but one I'm not interested in. When are preorders for Vol. II slated to go up?

Still too early for pre-orders I believe, but I'm looking forward to the line up of short 3D films included on the 3-D Rarities 2 disc.

The film is the main feature with 65 minutes of 3D shorts. Should be good.

They have to finish funding the restoration first. ETA for Rarities Vol. II says March 2020 on the Kickstarter page.

My first thought was of some Son of Sinbad 3D outtakes that were shown a number of years ago, and that there might have been more where those came from, but that's probably a longshot. Mostly I'm just curious about all this footage emerging, whether it was the tip of an iceberg, or the last remnants, whether matches were found, as well as curious about other footage mentioned elsewhere. Exciting to consider the possibilities.

Third Dimensional Murder is mentioned in the link above. That also would be great to see as I have only seen the anaglyph version that looks terrible on TCM.

I too would badly love to get that one in a 3DFA restoration. Alas, as an MGM short it's owned by Warner Bros., which in recent years has been radio-silent on the 3D front. No doubt Bob is efforting things.

... if only that were a confirmation. I'm sure the 3-D Film Archive would be happy to include it on one of their releases were it a possibility.

The anaglyph version can also be found on youtube, and could definitely benefit the kind of remastering that 3DFA have done on other originally anaglyph projects. As is, it just doesn't work, even by anaglyph standards. I tried 3 different sets of glasses.

You would think WB would at least allow the 3-D Film Archive to include something like Third Dimensional Murder on Rarities II. I mean, it's not like WB will ever do something with it themselves. Again, it's almost the same nonsense that's being perpetrated by Wade Williams.

But I must say, I'm really looking forward to seeing A Day in the Country. I'm sure that is something I'll be watching again and again.

Rumor is that it will be released commercially in March of 2020. Anybody have any info (Bob?) as to when it will go out to the $100+ supporters on the kickstarter?

Campaign organizer Eric Kurland at 3-D Space will announce the official date via Kickstarter just as soon as we have that locked in.

We are about 95% finished with the feature restoration and it looks spectacular.

That late? I thought it was very early 2020. I would have said very early was January or February at the latest.
