Default Got a package stolen - Video camera advice?

So I recently got into collecting Funko pops, and I have around 80 right now I think. I have been having things delivered to our home for about 8 years with no issues.

Last Friday a funko pop package was stolen from the front porch. Thank goodness it wasn't too expensive, but it still bothers/angers me! Tracking showed it was delivered, I spoke to our mail carrier, filed a police report, and I am now looking into security cameras.

I contacted eBay, but there's not much they can do since tracking showed delivered. I contacted Discover this morning to see if they have some sort of buyer purchase protection. They opened a case.

Any other advice? Advice on Ring doorbell units or others that are similar?

Thanks!

I have a few of these around the house to watch our dogs. I also used one on my front porch for a few weeks when they were puppies. It should be perfect to use and inexpensive.

Maybe it was just mis-delivered and not actually stolen?

We had 3 packages delivered that day. The mail carrier described our porch and described the placement of the boxes there. When we got home, only 1 of the 3 boxes were there.

I had 2 postal packages stolen out of my mailbox last week, and don't really know exactly WTF happened.

There were 3 packages on the specified day and the tracking numbers show that all 3 were delivered "In/At Mailbox" at the same exact minute as each other, yet the only one there was an Amazon mailer with some multi-vitamins. The missing 2 packages were just single movies, so would have been small mailers.

I went to the mailbox within approx. 30 minutes of it being delivered. Now I've had packages "misdelivered" somewhere else before, mostly to a nearby house or another street with the same house number, but the tracking will usually show a different time they were delivered to whoever else... not the same exact minute. And they were always returned, generally the next day by either by the USPS or the other person who received it by mistake.

I checked with the nearby neighbors where it could have possible been delivered on the same exact minute, but none received it...and I do consider them all honest.

Thankfully it was nothing rare that couldn't easily be replaced or re-ordered. I have of course contacted the USPS about it, and been told they'll investigate, etc... but I doubt they'll show up after all this time.

I do have a doorbell camera on the porch for larger package drop offs there, but now I guess that I need to buy another camera just to train a steady eye on my mailbox at the end of the driveway?

I'm in Canada and Canada Post has something called Flexdelivery. I use an address that Canada Post gives me (a PO Box) and nothing is delivered to my house. It goes to an outlet that I chose at a pharmacy not too far away. To me, it's worth the extra trip to know my packages will be safe. There may be something like this available where you are. Flexdelivery is free and nothing to buy and install.
