are you ordering from the States? I know that us guys in the UK can;t order from the US site, so it might be the same.

As far as ordering from over here they always seem pretty good.

The shipping time from Amazon.co.uk is reasonably prompt, given the availability of the item. My orders usually have an estimate of 7 to 10 business days, but seem to arrive around 3 to 5 days after dispatch.

All of their shipping information is available here. Yes, the prices are in pounds, so expect to spend roughly twice the displayed price for your items (i.e. £10 is about $20). You can use your regular ol' credit card just as well as the U.S. site - the credit companies automatically convert the currency and deduct it from your available credit.

I thought Blu-rays from the Uk were a different region and wouldnt play on a U.S. PS3.

Only if they're brand new movies... remember any movie that's over a year old from the first pressing (not sure of the exact wording) is required to be region free. Also the region coding isn't required at all and the studio can make the choice to press them ABC.

There are some films available in the U.k., but not in the states (The Rock, Crimson Tide, The Island). These 3 are all "region free", and WILL play in any U.S. blu-ray player. Including the PS3. The key here is to make sure the disc is "all region" before you order.

I have never had a problem ordering from UK Amazon to Canada.
I have received many SACD's from Amazon in the UK.

Would that be listed near the bottom of the page on amazon, like where the running time is??

You know how the PQ is on The Rock???

There are a couple of titles available in UK that are not here in the states that I would like. Is there a list somewhere that I can find out which discs are region free?

The biggest issue I have with ordering from the UK Amazon site is how excpensive the Blu-rays are. They're 1.5 to 2X the price of the Blu-rays in the US. Not to mention the shipping costs. I rather wait for the US release of the Island and The Rock.

All Warner and Paramount titles are region free..no matter where you buy them or how old the film is. Most other studios, including Lionsgate, Sony etc now release with codes ABC and when Tartan & Optimum (Pans Labyrinth)start releasing Blu-Rays in the next month or so they too will be region free.
It's only Fox that are truely sticking to the region coding

I've ordered from the US Amazon site several times. On a big order I was charged duty and VAT. On a smaller order Planet Earth and both POTC films I got away with it.

Not true. You can order from the US site for delivery to a UK address.
