Default Are there any black and white 4K movies?

Are there any 4k movies that are black and white / monochrome?

There doesn't seem to be many. Is there a reason why? Are movies like 'Roma' or 'Cold War' going to have a 4k release? They would look stunning.

Thanks

So far I think the only actual one (not like Logan Noir) is France's Les Tontons Flingueur, which doesn't have HDR. I think 4K is still seen as a bit of a risky venture, and BW wouldn't benefit as much from HDR grading. Something of note is that Sony released a survey awhile back asking what future UHDs people would like to see, and it had The Lady From Shanghai, and a few BW movies from Frank Capra.

I'm hoping for a Dr. Strangelove 4K, I love the Criterion release, but Kubrick needs to be on 4K especially with that 35 MM goodness.

The beginning of Van Helsing if you want to see what an entire movie might look/feel like in B&W. Psycho would be a nice title to bring to 4K, as would Casablanca.

Roma and Cold War are already streaming in UHD via Netflix and Prime (respectively). I doubt we’ll see physical UHD releases for them.

Strangelove was shot on 35mm. Spartacus and 2001 are Kubrick’s only large format films.

WB loves re-releasing Casablanca and for very good reasons. I do hope to have that in 4K soon.

"Anatomy of a Murder" would make a superb 4K release. Also, and especially, Charles Laughton's brilliant "Night of the Hunter."
