Default BBC Nature Documentaries

Are many of the BBC nature documentaries still released locally? or just the major ones (i.e. Blue Planet / Planet Earth) now?

I noticed many were released on Blu-ray in the distant past, but not so many in the last few years. I just started collecting, and was wondering if it was worth waiting to see if more recent ones are released locally, since importing from the UK is so costly now.

On a side note, it seems like only Amazon (AU) still has Blu-ray releases of old ones in stock, they are no longer even listed in other retailers (i.e. JB Hi-Fi).

The BBC Earth documentaries on Blu Ray are definitely released less frequently now.

I've collected what I *hope* is every BBC Earth documentary that's been released on Blu Ray. I can give you a list if it will help you complete your collection.

JB put a lot of these titles on clearance in the last year. Africa, Frozen Planet, Life Story etc all went under $10.

I found the hardest one to source as a Australian release was one called Madagascar. It was only released briefly here in Australia and I don't think there are many AU copies out there in the wild.

A complete list of local releases would be helpful. I'm more focused on the wildlife ones, rather than human side, so not sure if I will get them all.

Many are still on sale at $10, if you can manage to find them in store. A few (i.e. Life that Glows) are still available on Blu-ray in store, even though not listed online anymore.

I ended up importing Madagascar, as I couldn't even spot any copies on eBay. I'm still trying to find the local releases of Ganges and Great Barrier Reef on Blu-ray too, as I don't trust any listings with stock images on eBay.
