I love this show, but the US is getting a Season 1 + 2 bundle in a few weeks with a bunch of extras not mentioned anywhere on this release so far. Will wait and see if they bring those over and to see if they even bother releasing S2.

I asked about the extras:

Hi! No bonus features on this release we're afraid.

That's a bummer.

EDIT:

Honestly I don't know why certain labels bother even getting the rights to a particular release when they can't match the US counterpart. It just leaves UK region locked fans shafted.

atleast it's getting a blu-ray release over here because we get screwed a lot over dvd only releases

not everyone will care for extras and not everyone will want to bother importing it just to watch it on a disc/in HD

If it just a few pointless extras then yes I could understand but this is 20+ audio commentaries plus various other stuff that isn't being included here. Just having it on disc is fine but then the price tag should equally reflect that.

someone on another forum said this so i guess their twitter people had some sort of miscommunication

imo it's probably the person on twitter not seeing audio commentaries as extras but then again i didn't really think of them as extras either so it's understandable

Some folk, myself included, if the price is right are quite happy with good transfers and nothing else. On the whole life's too short and busy to bother with " episode commentaries, animatics, side by side animation comparison..."

I paid £35 for the Season 1 + 2 set from the US and I already have it. It was cheaper than buying the UK releases, I got it sooner, and it had all the extras guaranteed. Win win win.

Can't believe Manga let such an obvious typo slip in on the Season Two cover.
[Show spoiler]It should say "Hollywoo"

Seriously though, I'm happy to see that the extras will be included over here. I expect that this series will have particularly good commentaries.

The Shout logo is present, so I'm counting on the release to be reissues of the US Shout release, but with Manga UK logo, like it was with TRANSFORMERS.

If Manga could release Shout's Gravity Falls, too..

See above, Manga have confirmed there will be no extras. So this won't be a re-issue.

I think you should read the rest of the thread. Manga said the extras weren’t included but it actually turned out that they were incorrect.

Cool, thanks. Shame Manga's social media probably resulted in a few UK folk getting the US set. The UK sets are more tempting as it's seperate season releases but also more expensive. Plus if they're reliant on Shout, then chances are if sales aren't good here in the UK, they might not continue releasing them even if Shout still does.

I mean, the fact that the Shout logo is included in the case, means that it's likely the same discs, just like it happened with Transformers. Manga UK will be doing the same with the CN shows they'll be releasing soon. From Warner and

So given this, why'd they make their own BDs? I think the one time they did it and was worse was with Pokémon, but because it came before the Viz BD, so.. had it come later, it'd have reused the Viz BD.
