Vicky Cristina PCM 3.0 - Blu-ray Forum

When playing Vicky Cristina through my PS3, I couldn't get a center channel on this audio format through HDMI. My receiver only displayed the left and right speaker. Anyone else have this issue? I had to turn the optical output on and then I could hear it.

It’s supposed to be that way. It was encoded with English PCM 3.0 Stereo. It's an awesome movie that is heavily dialog driven. Still, I wish it was encoded with a 5.1 lossless audio track to take advantage of the great sound track.

Be thankful it was encoded in stereo at all. Usually Woody is mono all the way.

I don't have any idea why Woody Allen has not embraced 5.1 yet. It's been used in almost every theatrical release since 1992's Batman Returns,and only a year later the first DTS track was used on Steven Spielberg's Jurrasic Park.
