76th Venice Film Festival

[Cremildo]

The 76th annual Venice International Film Festival is scheduled to be held from 28 August to 7 September 2019. Film director Lucrecia Martel was appointed as the President of the Jury. The Truth, directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, was selected to open the festival. Giuseppe Capotondi’s The Burnt Orange Heresy will close it. [SOURCE]

I'm afraid you're gonna have to travel to Europe to do so. The film was screened for American buyers months ago but no distributor wanted to touch it with a 10-foot pole.

This more recent Variety piece about acquisitions mentions nothing about Canada, but the film hasn't been sold everywhere yet ("Playtime is in negotiations to close several more deals in major markets."). Better keep an eye on it if going to Canada is an option for you.
