This sounds a LOT like the plot to The Invasion, starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig.

Just add aliens, a clove of garlic, and mix.

It is a film driven by character and the concept of morality. 90% (rough estimates) of the people that I've asked about it have disliked it AND had seen the previews repeatedly. 10% liked it despite having seen the previews... but they were expecting a totally different type of film experience. 100% of the people I've asked about it who hadn't seen the previews loved it as much as I did.

It's beautifully shot, beautifully performed, incredibly written, and had a lot to say about the philosophy of human trauma and morality.
100% agreed. A lot of people just didn't get this movie which was an amazing drama.

The Invasion looks to be a big rip off of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. You can tell from the previews.. even the mention of "they show no emotion". When I saw this movie preview and it was not entitled : Invasion of the Body Snatchers (with remakes being so popular) I was a bit pissed at the level of rip off this movie appears to be.

Hollywood is sick of remakes.. so now maybe they will start remaking movies without giving credit

Everything can honor everything in one way or another
To talk about ripoffs would remove over 99% of movies we've ever watched
That goes for music as well

There is a difference between influence and a rip off.

It IS a remake of Invasion of the Bodysnatchers

The title has just been shortened similar to the Abel Ferrera version "Bodysnatchers".

Nemo looked damn gorgeous on the ABC HD broadcast... I can't imagine what it'll look like on Blu-ray.

Must agree I have been looking forward to Nemo for quite some time now. I'm also very glad to see The Count of Monte Cristo is finally getting out there.

Hidalgo! Excellent!

I guess there's little chance of 13th Warrior being the McTiernan pre-completion bonded director's cut , or Shall We Dance being the Japanese version, let alone the actual cut that's 20min longer

Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs and The Village are all Buena Vista.

That means the best video, the best audio, for all.

I wouldn't say it was vile. It was probably a let down for alot of people. I know most were expecting something that did not happen (like I was). I was expecting a real actual monster. Not a costume, fake thing.

I did enjoy "The Village" the first few times I watched it. It gives you alot to think about and to learn. However, would I buy it to watch over and over again? I don't know. Unlikely. Maybe when it gets to bargain basement prices.

One of his movies that I thought bombed and was stupid as all hell.. Lady in the Water. Now that movie was freaking VILE!
