Would love to see this get the 4K treatment, anyone else?

Hell yeah, would absolutely buy it day one. Actually always liked this movie more than Top Gun (which also rocks).

The cast has managed to survive and keep themselves in reasonably good shape. If not for Kidman/Cruise drama, the ongoing Hollywood Nostalgia Craze might've made a sequel more likely than we think. I'd take 2 Days 2 Thunder right now, but oh well.

I would so love a sequel, but that isn't going to happen. However, a 4K UHD of the movie most certainly will and will be released sometime next year to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the movie. You heard it here first folks. You can steal that Bill if you'd like. On a more serious note, I would seriously kill for this movie. I loved it when it came out and still think it's one of Cruise's best films. I had the soundtrack on CD I think. I was the first one to have a CD player that I knew of and got into CDs and I was also the first person I knew to have a Discman. Oddly enough, I eventually went back to cassettes. The stupid sh-t we do sometimes.

I did too. The summer of 1990 was about two things: Days of Thunder (that need for speed) and the album Cosmic Thing. Some of the best times really.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Days might be getting a 4K release along with a few other Tom Cruise films in 2020...is this right as I cannot find the source now?

This has a 4K master on the Australian streaming service Stan along with The Firm and War of the Worlds which may be a sign they will get UHD releases down the line
