Killzone 2 Boss Help (SPOILERS!) - Blu-ray Forum

im making a separate thread for this because its a spoiler and i dont want to get banned. i need help on the boss on the 5th level? the ATAC. i can get him in the electricity and then shoot him with the rocket but i always die before i kill him. so does anyone have any tips, i really am enjoying the story but i cant get pasted the frinken' boss.

You gotta just keep at it. You're doing the right thing. shoot the electricity rods and then hit him with the rocket. You just have to be good at playing cat and mouse around that center pillar until he's in range for the electrical shot...

did you discover the hallway? go down the stairs to your left and theres a walkway. get him that way. i had the same problem. good luck.

there's a hallway down there? never noticed! I just hid behind the main column till he was in range. did die a few times though!

It took only three rockets (on my second time ) .
First: u have to remember there are windows in the hallway . AVOID THEM .stay near the end and use L2.
Second: shoot only one rocket then run to the other end .And step out of the tunnel to lure him .
Third: every time u use the rocket launcher ,give it time to reload before switching to the gun.

I think i got a trophy for doing it in under 1.5 min

Off topic, I beat this game in 1 day... just like I beat MGS4 in 2 days. This game is incredible, it's so hard to put down.

Anyways I had a hard time with this boss too but wait till the final...

you got me all scared and excited at the same time.
spoiler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im at the next level after you get on the gun and shoot the enemy aircrafts and we escape from the crashing ship. so i think im almost done the game.
if you get a trophy for beatin this boss in a minute and half i might try to go back and do it.

i have a question, ive been shooting the electric thing with a gun then switch to the rocket launcher. that wastes lots of time but is that wat youre supposed to do?

Dragonslayer - Destroy the ATAC within 1 minute 30 seconds
Destroy the Salamun Bridge ATAC in under 1 minute 30 seconds

There is a much easier way of doing this; I just finished this boss on Elite thanks to it. If you just shock him once and he's stunned, keep your reticle on the electric pod. Shoot it again when its recharged, before the ATAC moves again. If you can get the timing down, you can keep shooting, just reload every now and then while it's recharging. No rocket launcher or real effort required.

My advice on this battle if your going going to sit upstairs is to stand back from the column sitting face to the wall gives you tunnel vision and you wont see him move, so take a few good steps back and watch where he flys...

LOL I'm stuck in the same place. Died a lot already, so I'll have to try the hallway that somebody mentioned. This game is really cool, lol, I find myself stopping during the game to stare at the graphics and end up getting whacked.

If you keep using your emotions as your only weapon the boss will continue to beat down on you, until you can feel your enemy this boss will continue to mock you...

Avoid tunnel vision as that is 90% of the reason people die during this battle.. If you choose to go down below beware not to blow yourself up with the electrical grid my friend did that a few times..

You can shoot off two rockets per stun if you're quick.

Yup. But if you do, you can't use the method of keeping the ATAC stunned. Even at your quickest, the ATAC will pull out of its stunned mode immediately after the second rocket.

Then you're in trouble because it goes nuts for those first 10-15 seconds after coming back.
