www.dvdtimes.co.uk are reporting that the HD versions of Face/off, intended for September 11th are now delayed til October 30th!!

The DVD is still released September 11th!

What a joke!

YOu know from October 30 or bluntly November 1st to like november 14th, I could easily spend 200 dollars right there on Blu Rays. Those two weeks are going to be a crazy 2 weeks for Blu Ray. Has there ever been so much anticpation for anything Blu? LIke for those 2 weeks? I mean Face/off, Spiderman 3, Spiderman box set, Cars, ratatoulle, and Close Encounters,

Madness....

It looks like Para is adding a 2nd HD DVD to the release to fit the BR content.

And charging $5 more for the HD DVD to boot.

Sucks honestly, but as previously mentioned there are some other good titles. Underworld, Troy, The Jack Ryan Collection and Smallville are all being release in September. At least that is the word thus far.

Starting to get tedious with movies always being delayed. Really, how hard is it to encode a movie on a bd.

There can be any number of reasons, and it takes 4-6 weeks to get a new spot on the replication line

I know it is frustrating but i understand why Paramount decided to do it. they are taking advantage of BD's capability, and want to deliver the best. personally i would rather have an ultimate transfer of FACE OFF. better PQ, and lossless sound. I am all for that, after all it is the experiance you get from the movie that will determine whether you enjoy it or not.

Yea I agree if they are going to make us wait for it I at least hope it is going to be worth the extra waiting time.
