Bet this will be about two people who society deems them too taboo for them to be together.

Always excited for a new Soderbergh and excited to see him back to RED and putting the iPhone to rest.

HBO Max Lands Steven Soderbergh’s Next Film Starring Meryl Streep

Quote:
Making its first acquisition, HBO Max has picked up Let Them All Talk, an original comedy starring Meryl Streep and Gemma Chan that is being directed by Steven Soderbergh.

Dianne Wiest, Candice Bergen, and Lucas Hedges are also starring in the project, whose name is a working title and which has been operating under the radar and quietly began shooting last week in New York.

Meryl Streep, Candice Bergen, and Dianne Wiest are ready to Talk

EW brought the three legendary actresses together over Zoom to gab about Let Them All Talk, their deliciously chatty new Steven Soderbergh film.

Really, really enjoyed this.

But, it does play with you in terms of what kind of film you think you’re getting before it reveals itself to great effect.

Soderbergh is still my guy.

Low tier Soderbergh but still very good.

I was very much vibing with it for a long time. It's obvious how much of it is improvised, but it's always in a good way that makes the characters and dialogue seem real and believable. Streep was very good and brought the right sort of enigmatic presence to the role, but Bergen and Wiest (and their scenes together) were the highlight of the film for me.

The final 15 minutes are a bit underwhelming, but overall it's a good movie elevated by the great cast, unique improvisational vibe, music, and Soderbergh's style.
