I thought Hitman was decent, Tomb Raider was good. Just wait until Gears of War movie comes out!

not that i know of but we can all prey that there gonna be a Resistance movie and Metal Gear Solid and possibly an uncharted movie

the answer in both cases is simple: live action. yoshi and koopa would look stupid if they were literal live action translations of their video game selves (not that they didn't look stupid enough in the movie

Up to this point I'm definitely gonna have to say Mortal Combat. Hopefully soon we'll be able to say Bioshock, that IP has the elements for a great movie but the studio still has to treat it like a proper movie (treat it like Iron Man instead of like SFIV).

advent children is the ONLY video game movie that has not been a huge disappointment to me! hopefully one day hollywood will realize this potential cash cow they have neglected and start doing these right

Best video game movie adaptation is an animated movie: Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. Still tops my list as my favorite animated movie yet. As for a motion picture film, definitely Resident Evil. I absolutely loved how the first one was made as an action/horror (as opposed to just straight up action like Extinction), it's still one of my favorite action movies. Apocalypse was great, Jill is my favorite part about it (next to the various elements they've incorporated into it including Nemesis), but the movie is just too g*dd*mn cheesy. Then Mortal Kombat comes third...!

1. SFII: The Animated Movie
2. Resident Evil
3. Mortal Kombat

Prince of Persia might turn out really good too. I saw some pics of Gyllenhaal already as Prince Dastan ...sorry if it's old news

DOA captured the essence of the game. Eye candy with little to no substance other then that.
